How it works
- The timer is set to 25 minutes, the classic pomodoro block. Change it if you want a different rhythm.
- Work on one thing until the tone sounds. No tabs, no phone.
- Take a five-minute break. After four blocks, take a longer one of fifteen to thirty minutes.
- Want it on your phone with a real notification and a quick-start widget? Open the same timer in NanoTimer.
Frequently asked questions
- Why 25 minutes?
- That is the block from the Pomodoro technique: long enough to get into something, short enough to hold without drifting. If 25 does not suit you, change it. The point is working in blocks with real breaks, not the exact number.
- What do I do in the break?
- Stand up, look away from the screen, drink something. The break is there to let your head reset, so not a quick email or a scroll. That is still work for your attention.
- Does the timer keep running if I close the tab?
- In the browser this tab has to stay open. On your phone NanoTimer solves that: the timer runs in the background, with a notification and Live Activity, on the lock screen too.
