Frequently asked questions
- What time should I go to bed to wake up at 6:45 am?
- Counting back in 90-minute sleep cycles, plus about 15 minutes to fall asleep: 9:30 pm (6 cycles, about 9 hours), or 11:00 pm (5 cycles, about 7.5 hours), or 12:30 am (4 cycles, about 6 hours). Treat it as a rule of thumb: real cycle length differs per person and per night.
- Will this alarm work if I close the tab or lock my phone?
- No. A browser alarm needs an open, awake tab. That is exactly why a phone alarm app exists: NanoTimer uses AlarmKit (iOS 26+), so it breaks through silent and Focus and keeps ringing until you stop it.
- Can I set a different time?
- Yes, just change the time field. The alarm will ring at the next occurrence of that time, today or tomorrow.
