Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20. Juli 2026
NanoTimer is built to know as little about you as possible. This policy explains what the NanoTimer app and the website nanotimer.app do with data. In short: we collect no personal data.
Who is responsible
NanoTimer is made and published by Digital Sandbox B.V., registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 42124304. Digital Sandbox B.V. is the data controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
For privacy questions, email privacy@digitalsandbox.app.
The app collects no personal data
Your timers, workouts, sequences, breathing and meditation sessions and stats stay on your device. NanoTimer has no account, does not ask you to sign in, and does not send your data to a server. We run no server for your data to go to.
There are no ads, no trackers and no analytics or other third-party SDKs in the app. That is why NanoTimer shows as “Data Not Collected” on the App Store.
The app only stores technical preferences on your device, such as your last set time and whether cues are muted. These never leave your device.
Purchases (Pro) go through Apple
NanoTimer Pro is a one-time purchase through the App Store. Payment and the purchase are handled entirely by Apple; we receive no payment details and do not learn who you are.
Whether you own Pro is kept by Apple in your own Apple account and verified by the app on your device. Apple's privacy policy applies to the transaction.
Notifications, alarm and sound
For the alarm and notifications, the app asks iOS for permission. That permission and the notifications themselves are managed by your device and by Apple; we receive no data about them.
When you use a web tool, your browser may ask permission for notifications or sound. That is a choice between you and your browser; we do not receive that data.
The website
nanotimer.app shows no ads and uses no tracking cookies. There is one functional cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, which only remembers the language you view the site in. That cookie is strictly necessary for that function and builds no profile, which is why there is no cookie banner.
For visitor counts we use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless, aggregate, and does not follow you across other sites. The site is hosted by Vercel; to deliver the site, Vercel as our processor may briefly process technical data such as your IP address and browser type, without building a personal profile.
The web tools (timers, stopwatch, alarm, breathing and meditation timers) run entirely in your browser. Whatever you enter stays in your browser and is not sent to us.
Data retention
Because we collect no personal data, we retain nothing about you. The data the app stores on your device stays there until you delete it in the app or remove the app.
Children
NanoTimer is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children. As we collect no personal data at all, this holds for every age.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and erase your personal data, and to object and to data portability. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is little to exercise these on in practice, but you can always contact us.
If you have a complaint about how we handle data, you can raise it with us at privacy@digitalsandbox.app, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Changes
We may update this privacy policy, for example when the app changes. The date of the last change is shown at the top. For a material change, we will make it clear on this page.
